Some of the talks are great, especially if you're new to the field. Intensive, two-day and four-day courses of study with world-class instructors aimed at building specific skills. The closest thing is a vendor room but they're selling t-shirts and CDs and hacker hardware (lockpicks, WiFi Pineapples, software defined radios, antennas, etc.) There are talks during the day, lots of gathering spots of people talking (or hacking, many bring PCs), the villages (basically interactive areas focused on a topic, like lockpicking or hardware or biohacking, where more experienced people informally teach others), and many social events in the evenings (parties, concerts, pool parties, games, movie nights, etc.) There's no expo - this isn't a place you come to buy security services or products, there aren't corporate sponsors.
